  Love Dr. Shamala. She has been my Primary Care doctor for several years now. She has a wonderful personality which makes her easy to talk to. She takes her time to hear your concerns. She will educates you with good knowledge and direction should you need help with a health concern or just to help you feel better when feeling sick. I like having a doctor that you can trust.   Not happy about my care too many reasons: 1. Nov. 2016 - Dr. Shamala administered flu shots and did not know my age! Asked me if I was over 65 when I am already 66! She billed my insurance $104.00 for the flu shot: $69 for administering and $35 for the chemical. She tried to charge me $89.86 as "my" portion of non-covered physical and flu shot. I called my insurance and they told me I only owed $6.00. 2. Dec. 2016 - I developed a bad bladder infection and she refused to call in a prescription to my pharmacy that late afternoon when I was experiencing a lot of discomfort. She wanted to see me the next day! I had to call TELADOC to get it from a stranger without hesitation. 3. Feb. 2017 - I had a positive mammogram. Valley Radiology (VRI) notified her on that same day in writing. I didn't know of it until I called her office five weeks later (3/27/17) to inquire about the outcome of it! She said VRI should have contacted me and had an ultrasound done! That is not what they said! 4. Mar. 2017 - I developed odd heart palpitations so I called my cardiologist and was told to talk to Dr. Shamala instead as she had the results of two tests performed in Feb.. She claimed she had no records of the latest tests. Only a note. Apex cardiology insisted she had it. She could have looked at the results from the tests performed in 2015 and discussed those with the cardiologist as I had requested. I will entrust my health with a more caring organization where I can manage my records online.
